Lets see where do I begin...........
I am sure you're wondering what happened between Ramiro Garza (class of 75) and I, well things did not work out as planned. He has a new interest and life nowadays. And Robert Lee Resendez(75)well he too found another interest somewhere along the line.
I moved on, continued my education and married Adam Quilantan from Lyford in 85 and moved to Dallas to join him. I graduated from a Christian university in Dallas and presently work for Nortel Networks as a Sr. Internal Auditor for Global Trade Compliance. What's a Sr. Auditor, well we mitigate all risk exposure to the corporation. My role in trade compliance is to ensure all rules & regulations align with government law for global export activity. My job is fun and hectic.....I work with all regions across the world spanning from Asia, Europe to Australia. As I result, I learned to speak French and Italian.
I have enjoyed living in the big city. I have attended multiple concerts, operas and musicals. I have traveled the world; fell in love with the Carribean.........took up scuba diving and have enjoyed every minute of it. At 40, Adam and I were surprised and blessed with the addition of Aidan into our lives. YES, I had my first and only child at 40. He is the apple of my eye and keeps me very busy. I am a very active mom with the Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, school activits, Animal Rights, etc.
Aidan will grow up to be a dare devil like his mom. He's been traveling the world with us since he was 7 months old. I took Aidan parasailing in Hawaii at the young age of 2 and he enjoyed every minute of it. He just turned 11. This summer he is learning to rock climb and is preparing to take scuba lessons so he and I can dive together.
He is musically inclined and loves the arts. He has learned to play the guitar, piano and drums. In the spring he sang in the metroplex chior. He is a true animal lover and between both of us, we have added 8 dogs to our household, from a Great Dane to a Chihuahua, mainly rescues.
I have been blessed with a wonderful life and there is nothing that I would change. I have made many wonderful friendships along the way and have often wondered what happen to all my high school friends. I hope to reconnect with as many as possible.
